EASTER SCHOOL HOLIDAY CYCLE RIDE PROGRAM
Leisure Cycle Tours is offering a range of daily cycling rides and training courses throughout the Easter School Holiday period for all school children with an interest in cycling. The daily events will start and end at the Elephant Walk Country Village in Colleen Glen, Port Elizabeth.
The aim of this program is to provide our school children with an opportunity to appreciate the benefits of being outdoors and being involved in a physical activity that is beneficial to their health and well-being. It also allows them to learn the basics of riding and maintaining a bicycle in a structured environment, thereby ensuring their future safety when cycling on their own.
The program of events includes daily morning and afternoon cycle rides for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders in both road and mountain biking disciplines. The number of participants will determine the size and structure of the various groups and some groups may be combined if there are insufficient participants. Each group will be assisted by a cycling guide and a back-up vehicle where necessary. There will also be a range of basic training courses specialising in general cycling training, nutrition and bicycle maintenance.
The cost of this cycling program is structured as follows:
Single event R 25-00pp
(Cycle ride or training course)
1 Day Package R 50-00pp
(2 Cycle rides, picnic lunch & 1 training course)
1 Week Package R 250-00pp
(All cycle rides, picnic lunches & training courses for 7 Days)
Complete Package R 500-00pp
(3 Weeks including all cycle rides, picnic lunches and training courses).
All participants must wear an approved cycling helmet while riding and obey the instructions of their guide at all times. While every effort will be made to ensure the safety of all the participants during these rides, we will be cycling on public roads and Leisure Cycle Tours & Adventures can not be held liable for any mishaps or accidents that may occur on these rides.
There are also a limited number of bicycles available for hire – participants must have a basic ability to ride a bicycle to take part.
