Hello to all our fellow cyclists. We hope winter hasn’t kept you indoors and that you’ve kept pedalling! Keep up that fitness because over the next few months we have some racing events in stall for you. We are the organisers of the Mondi Addo MTB Challenge in November and the Herald Cycle Tour in February 2009. On a rather cool and blustery Wednesday morning in July, a small group of leisure cyclists set off from the Port Elizabeth beachfront on a 3-Day cycle ride to Knysna. Our destination was the annual Knysna Cycle Tour Weekend festival with its Lifestyle Expo and cycle race events taking place on the first weekend of July.

There is a brand new national mountain bike event taking place in November this year, branded as "The Eastern Cape's Toughest MTB Challenge"! This event takes place in the Addo Elephant National Park on Saturday, 1st November 2008. There are three routes designed to challenge both our Pro Mountain Bikers and Recreational Riders alike. The event boasts R 50 000-00 in prize money and plenty of lucky draw prizes, with an enormous R 15 000-00 first prize in the 85km race.
