Herald VW Cycle Tour 2008
Calling all mountain bikers and mountain bike enthusiasts! After many months of hard work together with the race organising committee, the 2008 Herald VW Cycle Tour has an all new Mountain Bike Route. The new route starts and finishes in the Addo National Elephant Park and takes riders over the famous Zuurberg Pass, down challenging mountainside paths, through beautiful fruit orchards and along the edge of the invitingly cool waters of a canal. Then riders get an opportunity to virtually rub shoulders with the mighty Addo Elephants as you hug the game fence along the final strech to the spectacular finish in the game park itself. If the ride doesn't take your breathe away, the awesome scenery and wildlife definitely will! With a Challenging 65km route and an easier 42km route on offer, this is one ride you don't want to miss! Entries for the Mountain Bike Race open this week. Follow this link to the official Herald VW Cycle Tour website to find out more.
